HD 2018

Once again, there was so much to see at HD.  We were really busy on our new Westin Anaheim project, so we are a bit delayed in posting our HD favorites.  This year there was really a great showing of textures & dimensional surfaces.  The hex shape was extremely popular trend throughout.  On the lighting end, LED has really opened up how we can create shapes with light... the possibilities as endless.  Shown below: WAC lighting, Kuvio by Pumicer, Anoma, Ave Lighting, Koroseal, Emser Tile, Richloom Textiles, Royal Custom Furniture.

Cobico Interior Design complete for Sheraton Bamako

Cobico designed the interiors for the Sheraton Bamako in Mali.  The beautiful architecture by Efekta really looks amazing in the African sun.  Kinza Yapi did an amazing job of executing our designs. We excited to finally see some of the early images from the hotel completion.  Here is a peak of some of the latest from Cobico

Sheraton Bamako under construction

So excited to see all the progress on site at the Sheraton Bamako.  The Kinza construction team has been amazing in the execution of the project.  Our Cobico is really proud of the project and excited to see it open in a couple of months.  Until then here are a few sneak peeks inside.

HD 2017

Another year at the mandalay Bay Conference Center in Las Vegas.  This year, they reconfigured the floor into one long line instead of the crazy L of past years.  Easier to navigate, but I definitely put a lot a miles on my wedges.  Biggest trend this year was really a strong integration of metal wood & upholstery. Great colors on the metal work could be found on everything from chairs to lighting.  Here are a few of our favorite items from the show: Arin, Arte, Aspen Brands, Bernhardt Hospitality, Charter Furniture, Hinkley Lighting, Richloom, Spec Ceramics, Stone Source & Tile Bar.

BDwest 2017

BD west 2017 took place April 5 & 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  Another great opportunity to check out new products and meet one on one with vendors.  Every show we like to post some of our favorite finds.  Images below are from: Jaclo, Philips Collection, Taiping, Alger Triton, Plyboo, Materials Ic, Eclectic & UltraGlas.

HD 2016

Another busy year making it through the expansive HD expo floor.  I will put in my request for anyone at HD that a simple grid (not a giant L) as it would really make navigation so much easier!  But navigating the crazy grid is worth it to find great new products. Some of our favorites for the 2016 HD Expo:

Vendors shown: Visual Comfort, Conway Electric, Eric Brand, Lasvit, Feiss, Lexmark, Pera Tile, Rejuvenation Contract, Sabira, Arturo Alvarez, VogueBay, Walker Zanger.

BD West 2016

BD West relocated to the Los Angeles Convention Center this year.  Personally, I preferred the San Diego Convention Center for this event due to the natural light, adjacent outdoor terraces & the easy access to all the dining & hotels downtown.  Hopefully they will consider returning to SD in the future.

Regardless of it's location, we found some great new products.  There was a huge influx of soft gold finishes, great use of textures & smart uses of space.  Vendors shown: Artistic Tile, Cerno, Hallmark, Fabric innovations, Decolav, Shades of Light.

HD 2015

More of our favorites from HD 2015 to help inspire designs for the coming year... products shown: Artistic Tile, Coast to Coast, Vaughan Benz/ Hafele, Gemss, Limelight tile & ceramic, MTS, JLF, Daisycake.

HD 2015 - Lighting

This year we found some many fabulous new lights, we decided to focus this post on highlighting a few of our favorites.  The integration of LED into lighting is opening up design options creating some really interesting pieces.  Products shown: Fute, Preciosa, Lux, LBL, Modern Forms, D'style, Lusive, LZF, Kichler

BD West 2015 One on One

We love the BD West Vendor meeting program. It provides us an opportunity to have morning one-on-one meetings with vendors.
